Books

I've love to write about other books I have...but alas, all these are about cancer.
  • Acupuncturist Misha Cohen wanted me to get this: Life Over Cancer by Keith I. Block, M.D. This book is *both optimistic and scientific*, a very rare combination when it comes to cancer books! He is emphatic about the need to use lifestyle and other changes in addition to traditional therapies.
  • Crazy, Sexy Cancer Tips by Kris Carr and Sheryl Crow. Sort of an LA girl's upbeat guide to dealing with cancer.
  • This is Pasadini's: Healing with Whole Foods by Paul Pitchford. Has a chapter on cancer and other degenerative diseases. You need a Chinese diagnosis in order to really use this book.
  • Cancer Has Made Me A Shallower Person by Miriam Engelberg.
  • Turning Suffering Inside Out: A Zen Approach to Living with Physical and Emotional Pain by Darlene Cohen.
Also Recommended
(but feel I have my hands full with the ones I have now!)

Approaches to Cancer by Michael Lerner. This book is used in retreats for people with cancer at Commonweal. You might not be interested in all of it but you will probably be very interested in some of it.
The Oxford Book of Death. Editor J.D. Enright
Anticancer:  A New Way of Life by David Servan-Schreiber, MD, PhD. This came from Savanna in New York. It's about prevention, not treatment.
Never Fear Cancer Again by Raymond Francis
The Emperor of Maladies: A Biography of Cancer by Siddhartha Mukherjee. Dawn says this is excellent.
The Chinese Way to Healing: Many Paths to Wholeness by Misha Ruth Cohen, L.Ac.
Choices in Healing: Integrating the Best of Conventional and Complementary
